ADP Payroll Setup

Account creation, direct deposit, and tax documents

ADP handles your payroll, direct deposit, and tax forms (W-4, W-2). HR will email you a registration code before your start date. Follow these three steps to get fully set up.

Create your account
  1. Go to my.adp.com
  2. Click "Create account" → "I have a registration code"
  3. Enter the code from your HR welcome email
  4. Set your User ID, password, and security questions
  5. Verify your identity with the last 4 of your SSN

Set up direct deposit
  1. Log in and go to Myself → Pay → Payment Options
  2. Click "Add Bank Account"
  3. Enter your bank routing and account number (from a check or your bank app)
  4. Choose full deposit or split between accounts
  5. Save — allow 1–2 pay cycles to fully activate

Tax documents (W-4)
  1. Go to Myself → Pay → Tax Withholding
  2. Complete your Federal W-4 (filing status, dependents, etc.)
  3. Complete your State W-4 if applicable
  4. Review and submit — changes apply on the next payroll
  5. W-2 forms post here every January

Motive ELD — Quick Start

Electronic logging for Hours of Service compliance

We use the Motive ELD system to track Hours of Service automatically. Per FMCSA rules, the ELD User Manual must be in the vehicle at all times. Complete these steps before your first run.

Download the Motive Driver app
Search "Motive Driver" on Google Play or the App Store. Make sure the Vehicle Gateway is already installed in your truck.

Log in
Open the app → tap Log In → enter your email and password from HR, then tap Submit.

Connect to the vehicle
On the Logs page, tap NO VEHICLE, select your truck, enable Bluetooth, and confirm engine is on. Green ELD icon = connected.

Record drive time
Moving 5+ mph auto-sets you to DRIVING. When stopped, tap to change to Off Duty, Sleeper, or On Duty.

DOT inspection mode
If pulled over, open the menu → DOT Inspection Mode → Begin Inspection. Hand your phone to the officer.

If the ELD malfunctions
Call Motive Support (855-434-3564), notify the fleet in writing within 24 hours, and keep a paper log for the day.
